The Faculty of Theology in a Church Called to be a “Field Hospital”

Abstract

The Inaugural Conference of the 2014 academic year is published, in which the Dean reflects on the perception of Pope Francis that the contemporary Church must be a "field hospital". If Francis, he says, sees the Church as a field hospital, and if the Faculty of Theology is part of that Church, as indeed it is, how will it affect, in teaching and in the study of theology, that expressive figure, which indicates as a fundamental service that of healing wounds, giving warmth and being merciful?
