Reflecting on the challenges of our times, Bishop Emeritus of Reconquista Carmelo Giaquinta, leads us through some thoughts regarding the present state of priest formation processes in Seminaries in the light of the decree Optatam totius of the II Vatican Council and the Pastoral Exhortation, Pastores dabo vobis. Bishop Giquinta’s long pastoral experience and his direct style, makes this article a highly motivated starting point for dialogue and pastoral conversion regarding this crucial issue.
